Study on Supercritical CO2 Extraction of Chamomile Essential Oil

Chamomile was extracted by supercritical CO2 and purified by molecular distillation. With the extraction rate of Chamomile essential oil as the index, the effects of extraction pressure, extraction time, extraction temperature and other factors were investigated, and the optimal process parameters were obtained by three factors and three levels orthogonal test. The results showed that the optimum extraction parameters were as follows: extraction pressure 30 MPa, extraction time 120 min, extraction temperature 50 C, and the extraction rate of chamomile essential oil after molecular distillation was 4.13%. The obtained essential oil of Chamomile has the advantages of solvent-free residue, high aroma intensity and vivid aroma. It has a good application prospect.
