Study on Supercritical CO2 Extraction of Polymethoxy Flavonoids from Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae by Response Surface Methodology

Polymethoxyflavones were extracted from tangerine peel from Jiangxi province by supercritical CO2 fluid, and the optimum extraction conditions were discussed. The total content of three main polymethoxy flavones, namely, Sichuan orange peel, 3,5,6,7,8,3′, 4′-heptamethoxy flavone and citrus peel, was taken as the index of total flavone content in orange peel. The extraction process was optimized by single factor test and response test. The optimum extraction process was determined as follows: pressure 28 MPa, temperature 55 (?) and time 67 min. Under the optimum conditions, the total yield of three main polymethoxyflavones extracted from orange peel was 1.89 mg/g.
