Taking Qianling Yinhao tea as a sample, the technological conditions of supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of tea essential oil were studied by orthogonal design. The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: pressure 25 MPa, temperature 45 C, CO2 flow 8 L/h and time 4 h. Under these conditions, the maximum yield was 2.57%. The main and secondary factors affecting the extraction rate were time > pressure > temperature > flow rate. Through gas chromatography-mass spectrometric analysis (GC-MS) and sensory evaluation of the extracted essential oil, CO2 SFE can extract the main aromatic substances from tea. The extracted tea essential oil has the same aroma as the original tea, and has a high yield. It can be used for industrial preparation.
