The Quick Opening Mechanism
The quick opening mechanism is an electrical, pneumatical and mechanical integrity structure (as shown in Fig 3.11) consisting of a cylinder (clamp, lift and bolt) , a slide rail, a bracket and a pneumatical system. Pneumatical system provides clean air source and adjust the air flow through a speed adjusting joint and thus guarantee the cylinder works smoothly. PLC control system is adopted to precisely control the movement of each cylinder and ensure that the quick opening mechanism can complete a series of actions to open the extractor within 90 seconds. When an extraction operation is completed and the extractor pressure is released, an indication signal is given by the control system to the solenoid valve at the front end of the pin-insertion cylinder to make the pin-insertion cylinder shrink, and to make the clamp cylinder elongate. The clamp will slide on the left and right slide rail and then the spiral elevator begin to work to lift the top cover of the extractor, and finally the car cylinder elongates and pushes the spiral elevator bracket slide to the left on the slide rail, and then the lifting of the material basket and loading/unloading the material can be carried out.
